The irony. NEH is offering funding to develop projects and exhibits yet pulls the funding from the places where one might need to go to research said projects. But there’s a new one for preservation! Alas, it’s only for the history of American independence & foundational documents.
Universities in every state care for congressional papers that document US political history − federal cuts put their work at risk
Libraries and archives at universities across the nation catalog and steward the donated papers of members of Congress. But that historically significant work is now in jeopardy.

CNN now positing the reason it’s taking so long for the pope to be announced is because he’s too fat for the cassock. We are so back

may the new Pope be a friend to all walks of life, and by that of course I mean a Swiftie.

Our NEH grant was terminated 💔

Please read about our work. If it matters to you, call Congress at 202-224-3121. Share widely. Especially with Mississippi folks. Thanks!

Listen to your children read. Read to your children. Read alongside your children. Take them to libraries. Talk about what reading means to you & what it can unlock.
Tell them it doesn’t matter if it’s comics, magazines or books as long as they’re engaged with the written word. #WorldBookDay

bingo. Lent is too often associated with inaction. what a waste that would be in this season. great words @dianabutlerbass.bsky.social
This is a brutal Ash Wednesday.
Destruction and evil are all around.

If anyone tells me that I came from ash & will return to it, I may laugh at them. Or cry & not stop. I hope I don’t hit the priest. Because - read the room people - we’re in ash up to our knees.

my mom died when I was 19 of primary progressive multiple sclerosis and it was as awful as you think

my daughter is having migraines so of course my first instinct is to have a fckn panic attack that she might have MS too.

Statistically pediatric MS is rare. but the trauma never ends does it?
