Had an awesome week of programs. Three baby story times, book talks in two fifth grades, 3rd-5th grade graphic novel club, & cookie decorating at our tween night. Our patrons are fantastic & I had so much fun.

Our kids deserve to be integrated & treated with respect. I know that teachers need resources & support. I also shouldn’t have to hire a lawyer for IEP meetings. I’m so grateful for the team at my son’s new school so we don’t need the lawyer.

Special ed students benefit from being integrated at school. It doesn't always happen
Research shows including students with and without disabilities in the same classroom can benefit everyone. Two students with Down syndrome show what can be gained when that happens.

Story times start again tomorrow which is awesome! I just wish that there were more new books for our baby & toddler story times. Most of the new books have way too much text or the illustrations are too busy for a group setting. We’re feeling a little desperate for something new for our rotation.
