I just gave my 5 year old a bag of pickles to take as a snack in the car. I have also been told that I need to add pickles to the grocery list. He is very serious about this.

Two of my elementary teachers danced when Clinton won. A junior high teachers said it was right to make English the official language of the U.S. & said it during a talk at a local university. We were at a program discussing immigration & citizenship. I think there was a ceremony for new citizens.

My brother loved this book too. The Norse mythology volume is good, as well.

I didn’t know people had quiet brains until I was an adult. My brain never stops even if it is just coming up with a random story to dissociate. It’s exhausting but is quiet actually relaxing?

I heard today through a library listserv that this is an “at-request” which means that a constituent asked for it. It also sounds like it doesn’t have support. The librarian who sent the info was at a legislative breakfast. Things can change of course so it’s always good to speak up.

Loved the cartoon and books though I have to admit that I went as Pizzazz for Halloween a few years ago.

To be incredibly clear: the library is for everyone. But it can't be EVERYTHING for everyone.

And that's the expectation being laid at the feet of libraries.

Or if she holds a grudge, the doctor who told her that way back in high school during a sports physical?

Our city’s social worker held hours at our library and she always had people coming to see her. Unfortunately she just left her position and I am so disappointed. I hope this starts up again soon. We really need it.

Same but also, I lived in a co-ed dorm. Our bathroom/showers were co-ed & everything was fine. I just wanted in & out because it was a shared space.
