I'm honored to be a part of the Bloomsbury lecture series.

I wrote On Bigotry for times like these and until we confront that bigotry is more than simple ignorance, we will never escape the shadow it casts over everything.

Bigotry is not something people are born with. It is learned.

As a scholar of curriculum, Dr. Mitchell breaks down bigotry and its hidden syllabus and provides clear explanations of how it works and how to most effectively fight against it.

This should be required reading in 2025.
My first book, "On Bigotry: Twenty Lessons on How Bigotry Works and What to Do About It" came out a week ago and is now available in hardcover and e-book edition with an audiobook version coming out in August!

Tradition states that last night Jesus emptied out all the jails. Spent Saturday night telling people “I don’t care what you did, people weren’t made for prisons.” The next day to prove His point He broke out of solitary. It is finished. Easter is incompatible with the carceral state. Happy Easter.

Don’t use weed barrier fabric in your yard. Grass will grow through the fabric over time, making it both useless for weed prevention and a real pain to pull the weeds up.

Eventually, you’ll have to pull up the fabric all together, making a big mess and displeasing Craig. Sorry about that, Craig.

Why is this pollen season so bad? Botanical sexism. City planners hate the mess of fruits and seeds (and hate the idea or providing people with free food) so they overwhelmingly plant male trees. More male trees, worse pollen problems.

Plant more food forests, it helps with allergies!

If they can detain and deport non-citizens without due process, they can do it to you. You can’t make them allow you to prove your citizenship.

Rumeysa Ozturk’s lawyer had a motion approved to prevent her from being moved out of state. She’s here in Louisiana now.

Don’t normalize this
