Today, I left Instagram and TikTok. I left Facebook months ago. I haven't had a Twitter account for 6+ years. Now I find myself on Blue Sky; this is the first time I have felt completely connected, safe, and well-informed on any social media site since I first joined Facebook in 2006.

Tonight, I attended my first ever PFLAG meeting. The love, support, respect, and understanding in that room were palpable. Those people helped mend my broken soul a little. I am so grateful that young people today have such a supportive community available to them, especially these days.

After saying "goodbye" to our oldest pup, Norah Jones, last week, I've started socializing our other two pups - Freddie Mercury and Sondheim. Norah was chronically anxious, so it wasn't fair to force her to be around the public. Our other two? They enjoy it, so we're all becoming ambiverts.

"Somebody Somewhere" on HBO is such a thought-provoking, peaceful character study of humanity. That show truly helps me feel connected, grounded, and centered again.

“I can’t believe you’re not inviting me to Thanksgiving. All I did was vote for someone who wants to deport half of the family while taking away the rights of most of the people who would remain.”

Last week, I portrayed Victoria Woodhull in a staged reading of Fred Kempner's musical, "Victoria Woodhull; America's Mistress." Woodhull was the first woman to run for president of the United States. Anthony Comstock was a main character. It seems so much changes, so much stays the same.
