I suspect he’s confused GC voices for conservative ones?

Yep - that thread is full of people falling over themselves to deny physical reality and call others fascists, nazis, transphobes for wanting fairness for women in sport. It’s so tiresome, and sadly predictable for this site.

FWIW Charles, I think you have the patience of a saint.

I’ve found a simple ‘why do women’s sports exist?’ Question goes a long way.

But that guy is clearly a troll, so I would not engage at all.

Blimey, what a post. Your mum sounds brilliant, and you are quite right about Christmas! Even our kids have commented this year on how
early the shops have started trying to flog Christmas tat. It’s desperate.

Let’s hope so.

As they should - it was always a non-story. That said, I look forward to all the reporting about Farage’s financial affairs in the coming weeks.

These are genuinely two of the best posts I’ve ever read about this subject, and get to the heart of my own concerns around it.

Bravo 👏 👏 (with an extra 👏 for ‘meat Lego’ x)

Oooh I’m also on that list. No idea why!

Broadcasters - especially the BBC - have been working hard to ensure they give a voice to the 25-35% of people willing to vote Reform (and harder groups within that, like anti-asylum protest and Tommy protest)

Need to pay as much attention to the unheard majority who fear that form of politics

Thank goodness for local journalism. Bravo Nottingham Post

That's brilliant!

Personally I liked the way that the script didn’t make reference to Miranda being trans at all. I’m interested in personalities and storylines, not identities. The writers did that really well.

Ha ha no! Upcycling from the costume department? Or was there a reason given?

Me too, I thought it was one of the best TV dramas for years! But apparently it didn’t address the history of the Riot Grrl movement accurately enough 🤪
October 23, 2025 at 6:35 AM
Mercifully nobody knows what that means.

I think Brianna’s mother might have given this issue some thought.

I know that their match in January was abandoned at half time. Which is not typical in most other clubs. Their fans stand out for their conduct, and should be treated accordingly.
October 20, 2025 at 10:38 AM
Well quite. ALL English clubs were punished for the actions of some fans.
October 20, 2025 at 9:46 AM
I should add that is VERY far from routine for home derby matches to be called off. That alone should tell you how concerning the behaviour of some of the MTA fans is. British teams have had to ban many fans for life in order to get a handle on hooliganism- perhaps MTA need to do the same.
October 20, 2025 at 9:35 AM
There was a specific incident, just yesterday. Add the shocking scenes in Amsterdam in 2024 and it’s no surprise that they would be banned. If the Tel Aviv police cannot handle them, why should the police in Birmingham be asked to? People live near Villa park and have every right to be concerned.
October 20, 2025 at 9:30 AM
There is a history of it, yes. Thankfully it is mostly in the past but for many years every single English fan - and the clubs, who were barred from European competition - was collectively punished for the actions of a few. I don’t see why MTA should be treated differently.
