We're half a decade into studies finding that improving airflow in classrooms will reduce disease transmission enormously, and that bleaching surfaces etc. does very little. And yet nothing changes. Waves of flu and colds wash over schools, and the schools pretend it's an act of God.

Fuck vote blue no matter who. If all this madness isn't enough to get the Democrats to field a candidate who can support trans rights and be against genocide they're telling me they don't want my vote and I'm happy to oblige.

I'm not voting for a more polite Trump. Full stop.

Congratulations to Justin Crosby (D) on his election victory in Mississippi CD22 — he flipped the newly redrawn seat by defeating the incumbent with approximately 53 % of the vote.

This win is part of a broader shift after court-ordered map revisions aimed at increasing majority-Black districts.

Of course Trump and co. Want to increase assaults and hate toward lgbtqia people especially trans people. It’s unconscionable

Data centres are energy hungry but what if we could use their waste heat to heat our homes?

That's exactly what happens in places like Finland: Cities are tapping the vast amounts of waste heat generated by data centres, and feeding it into district-heating networks.

BREAKING: All House Democrats have signed our discharge petition to extend the ACA tax credits.

That makes 214.

We can protect health care and lower costs — if only 4 Republicans will join us.

TN07 is a story about gerrymandering: the GOP cracked Nashville into 3 districts when it redrew the 2022 map, destroying the Dem seat there.

Fast-forward: a section of Nashville, which just 5 years ago had a Dem representative, is now voting Dem by huge margins but it's been designed to not matter.

The problem with the President of the United States is not that he used the word “retard” in a tweet. The problem is that 77.3 million people voted for him knowing well what he was, is, and would be. No President of any party or religion or region or indeed intellect has been less fit for a vote.

Pretty much ANY statistic you see cited to frighten you about vaccines comes from the VAERS database. (Including the recent evidence-free missive from Vinay Prasad). Here's why VAERS can NEVER be a proper source for population-level vaccine risk estimates.

As my teen has his second bout of covid in 6 years I remain anxious about potential health impacts including those he might not see for years. We can’t ignore this
There is no evidence linking COVID-19 vaccines to deaths in children. There is evidence that COVID causes serious harm — including long COVID, MIS-C, cardiac complications & diabetes.

This administration’s actions are dangerous, and the damage to the public and children may be irreversible
Big change: FDA to impose strict new vaccine requirements under RFK Jr ally

Vinay Prasad signaled changes to annual flu shots, concurrent vaccines + more

Prasad said his team found link between covid-19 shots and kids' deaths, necessitating a new approach overall
