🦃 NEW: Thanksgiving dinner is up 10% this year — more than 3x overall inflation.

Families are cutting back or skipping the holiday entirely. Why? Trump’s policies keep driving prices up.

As we tell the story of Trump’s harmful policies - dismantling the federal government, DEIA, tariffs impacting layoffs & more - we can see some of the impacts. It doesn’t have to be this way. We can make better choices that create good jobs, center Black women & make the economy better for all.

So proud of our new report with @caringacross.org @jaimieworker.bsky.social about the care imperative.

Time to make care a national priority. #carecantwait

Investments in care policies, including those that support child care, paid leave, aging and disability care, and good jobs for care workers ensure that the government is responsive to people’s basic needs.

This video is devastating. Imagine dropping your child off at daycare, only to learn that ICE took a beloved caregiver in front of the children minutes after. Imagine going to work to care for beloved children, only to be ripped away from them and your own family by ICE.

The taking of neighbors in communities around the country is so horrific.

And, right here - how can anyone justify this - violently taking a child care teacher out of her classroom?

Enraging is too weak a word to describe this.
