This is exactly why we need to be organized in our defense of the freedom to read. The book banners are organized & we'll funded. But they are also unpopular. Our numbers can beat their money

Last year 72% of demands to censor books were initiated by pressure groups and government entities; with just 16% of ban attempts made by parents

I’m volunteering at the book fair at my kid’s school, and discovered Dav Pilkey paid for the whole thing.

For the entire school.

Every kid pre-k through fifth grade (the whole school) goes home with two free books.
