I just got the news. What a gut punch. One of our greatest and most singular cinematic visionary, plucked away from us so abruptly and so tragically. I feel such a deep sorrow. It's like a massive void has just opened up in the world.

In the waning months of 2024, as the world around me seemingly collapsed, my two favorite music acts, both of whom have been in my life since I was a teen, swept in to save the day with brand new albums, each embodying everything I so love about them as artists.

Just the kind of comfort I needed.
