I’m running to be mayor of Vancouver.
Landlords are passing along the property taxes directly in triple net leases. ~95 percent of leases are triple net in Vancouver. In downtown, 50% of rent is property taxes— it’s 35% outside downtown. I’ve spoken to a lot of artist and dance studios… they are really struggling with their leases now.
