Under Ken Sim and ABC, the cost of community festivals, events, and parades has risen. Dozens of iconic events celebrated for years are at risk of disappearing. This must change. Balancing the city budget on the backs of volunteer organizations is unacceptable.

Vancouver needs more public bathrooms to reduce street waste. Hiring additional frontline service workers is essential to address service gaps. The most basic function of a city is to deal with waste.

Ken Sim’s ABC cut library hours, ended living wage pay & closed the renters’ office. Meanwhile they raised property tax 26% to pay for junkets to Junos & $14 mn in World Cup tix. We'll fight for fair taxes, protect frontline services, and prioritize renters, workers & families.

Homelessness in Vancouver has increased 12% under ABC. On day one, the Vancouver Liberals will reverse ABC’s cruel ban on supportive housing for seniors, veterans, people with disabilities and people with low-barrier needs. In my Vancouver, we don’t ban any kind of housing!

Bitcoin is how drug cartels operating in Vancouver move and launder money. The crime and safety issues in our city are a direct result of this. We need to make it harder for criminals to move money with Bitcoin–not heating pools with it.

The younger generation must be able to succeed - that’s the social contract Canada is based on. In Vancouver, this means better-paying jobs, and cheaper housing. Getting young people back to Vancouver has to be our number 1 goal!

We will build housing faster, cheaper, and smarter under the @vanliberals by eliminating the Vancouver Building Code and adopting the BC Building Code, as all other cities do. We will also merge the twelve departments approving new housing developments into one.

This day 24 years ago I started a job on Parliament Hill. Today was special for many more reasons than just my anniversary. I’ve had all the breaks go my way… because for some reason, I’ve had the best watching out for me…. Thanks to you all. I think about your friendship every day.
