I don't deny the Iran-aligned groups have self-interested reasons for doing what they're doing, but it's interesting how DC rhetoric always positions the US's enemies as incapable of actually caring about something. It's always a cover.

Like if the Houthis actually mean what they're saying, & would make good on their promise not to attack shipping if Israel's attack on Gaza ceased, you'd have to be a sociopath not to do that.

I had heard that people in Egypt were extremely frightened of speaking out under the el-Sisi regime, so either that's wrong/changed or this is a big enough deal for people to overcome some serious fears.
