At minimum, why aren’t state employees tasked with following ice & warning neighborhoods. Why aren’t their helicopters airborne, calling out ice positions? Why isn’t the state delivering aid to undocumented people shut in their homes? Why isn’t the state providing security at schools & hospitals?

I will start to take our leader’s resolve seriously when they start shouldering the burden of courage they are demanding of us.

Yes, I do agree that peaceful protest is a mightily powerful tactic. But our leaders must finally show the physical courage and leadership they’re so willing to demand of others.

At this point, our leaders cannot continue to demand that their people peacefully submit to the unhinged violence of ICE without putting their own bodies on that line as well.
