My 2CV is good for that sort of trip. I think my inhibition with a Midget was that my MGB was such a pain, while my 2CV is good to go for a long trip without much prep, and has yet to let me down. That said, the Midget parts supply is as good as the Citroën one, so that's tempting.

I get very tempted by the idea of a Midget, as I always wanted one, but veered into old Saabs and Citroëns before I ever found one that I was ready to buy. I hear they're a great bargain these days, so I may yet find the Midget of my youthful aspirations.
