Yeah, RE8 is probably responsible for about 75% of the F/F fics in the Resident Evil fandom on AO3 lol, but most of its works with an original MC are in second person, which takes some time getting used to.

That's difficult lol. For completed works, I'd say my top three are:

Residua (Elden Ring)

In The Wolf's Jaws (Resident Evil)

Silver and Gold (League of Legends)

is not exactly good for privacy policies or license restrictions.

So that's basically a small overview of my thesis. Sorry it took a while, I'm a bit rusty when it comes to writing longer texts in English.

I did play with the idea of actually generating text, because unfortunately, there is more to documentation than just tables or diagrams. But that idea was scrapped because the use of AI would be unavoidable, and feeding your entire source code to an external AI

automatically imports them into the documentation to keep it up to date. Another of my features doesn't technically search the code itself, but it uses another tool to generate SBOMs for the project and then processes the output from JSON into human-readable tables which it then adds to the docs.

One new feature is the maintenance of code snippets in documentation. Normally, you might take a screenshot of a few lines of code or copy and paste them into a code block, but you would have to do this every time the code changes. My feature scans the source code for the code snippets I need and

Now my idea was to expand that and to get even more information from the source code directly into the documentation. Mind you, it's currently mostly proof of concept and doesn't cover every edge case.

Or it can render the documents as PDF, HTML or static pages. It can also, for example, search for an OpenAPI yaml in the project and generate a nice, human-readable overview of all API interfaces. But that's the only thing it currently does that accesses the source code in any way.
January 30, 2025 at 7:23 PM
In a way. What I'm doing is basically expanding a tool called docToolchain, which attempts to help maintain a project's documentation by integrating the tool into the build pipeline. Currently, it offers mostly file conversion to better add different file formats to an AsciiDoc documentation.

The very short version is that I tried to automate parts of the process of writing technical documentation for software using a docs-as-code approach. I can go into more detail if you want, but be warned, it's a lot.
January 30, 2025 at 6:17 PM
Yeah, especially the research part sucked because I had a niche topic with very few sources. Fortunately, it also allowed for a full month of pure coding (I'm studying software engineering for context), which was easier than the research part, so it could have been worse.

I don't even know what to say at this point other than I hope you'll be okay.
January 20, 2025 at 7:56 PM
Believe me, you don't want to suffer through that lol.

To be fair, by that point the event had reached the 5 hour mark, it was dark outside and everyone wanted to go home, so the lack of feedback wasn't all that surprising.

Mel arriving in Noxus on the same shore her mother was wounded, that ball room scene, LeBlanc's new look. That cinematic certainly delivered.

And Vladimir is basically Astarion now lol
