Haha I'd be so thrilled too 😂
I think I'll make some that match my themes and laminate them for future shows

So GCE is in this same venue but next weekend. I'm curious about the differences between these two shows, crowd wise mostly! IDK if my work would do well here, but I'm hoping to get a feel for it. If I ever get in lol. I'm freezing my butt off tho

Clothing and mugs will stay available at all times since I don't personally handle those items. Again though, if you are thinking of getting a shirt or mug as a gift, they can have a 3 week turnaround so please plan accordingly!
*The mugs are currently under accessories btw

I hope to have the shop reopened by December 3rd!
I have a lot of stock of most things, however I do have LIMITED stock on all of my mouse pads and desk mats / gaming mats. Those I don't plan to restock this year, and conventions tend to wipe out mousepads especially

Oh, excellent! Updating my blog is something I really need to do as well. I'm so terrible at it lol. But, I know blogs are one of if not The very best ways to increase SEO to a website.

Yep, with assistants that happens all the time! I still haven't made reusable badges (I should, I really should), but I've resorted to writing it on paper and taping it to myself in a pinch lol.

That's..... so strange? Like who do they think makes everything at a market, it's for makers to sell their wares. If you have a way to make a little paper "I'm the artist" badge to wear I've found they help all lot

Yep, I immediately find a way to disable it! I'd love if they opened feedback forms about it, I have so much to say.
From the four thousand ads I've seen on YouTube, the sheer mention of Grammarly makes me irrationally angry now. I don't even use it but they are pushing their a/i so haaaard

If it's not too distracting it doesn't bother me so much, like I notice it but can go "eh". It's when like, the horse is the main subject and has extended scenes that would really benefit from a little extra care

It's a good sign when the instructors are still willing to learn all the new stuff. Dang, if I had someone tell me about an illustration degree though I think I would have totally done what you did! Alas, can't change the past lol

There is a bad horse epidemic in series animation big time. Also, even dogs! Like who doesn't have a dog reference? Why do their back legs do weird things? We should be so beyond these issues in animation and it makes me saaaad

Oh wow, I can't stand how some schools had allowed such out of touch professors to teach. Even at my school one of the game instructor's resume was only the FIRST Starcraft. The students knew more than her, and she resigned to go back to school herself. I still paid like $2k for that class 😭

It's crazy that I also went to college in Colorado to a disgraced school that doesn't exist anymore (Westwood College) that ALSO abolished their 2D animation program 3 weeks before school started (and conveniently after my loans were approved). Except I was ushered into game art for 3D animation

Oh my gosh, five days that is brutal D:
Hoping you're feeling better soon!

Yes absolutely agree! Observation is a key skill in art, and learning realism can really help with even very stylized works. I love a good study.

It's also OK if someone doesn't want to push for advancing their art in that way, too. Folk are and doodles are also great expressions of art. :)

Yeah making a donation absolutely does not offset anything, because the numbers are still being contributed as sales, as interest. We need to show that no one wants HP stuff, that's it's a terrible investment and it should sit on shelves gathering dust.
I cringe and scroll by all HP content.

Ohh yeah I've totally been there! I suppose looking back at my general interactions, even the really good ones can make me want to sleep after. Being really cold is not something I've experienced before so I was like, wait, can draining a social battery do that and how do I prevent it lol

It's interesting how often our goals and focus's can change the longer we make art, eh? But what we learn along the way all feeds into how we do things now, whether in large or small parts. It's a fascinating journey
