Promise Mascot Agency is a chill driving game set in a world full of freakish monsters and narrow doorways. It reminds me of long nights cruising around Vice City, and since the devs promise no Gen Ai too, it's an easy recommend.

There should be some kind of class action against forcing AI into software you already use. I didn't consent to running a coal power plant just because I have had the same Gmail account for 10 years.

I can get on board that it's difficult to get into rogue-likes because of the time investment or repetition, but I saw someone equate them to gambling that you pay for with your time and just... No? You'd have to completely ignore the skill and knowledge component to even pretend that's true.

There's an easy "the take is that c suite execs who put AI should jump from extreme heights" joke in here for anyone who doesn't mind catching the ban.
"Surely there's a middle ground here?" The CEO of Helldivers 2 studio Arrowhead says people "jump to extreme takes" when debating generative AI, and that there needs to be more nuance in the discussion.

In light to current discourse and as a card carrying Gen AI hater, I am ashamed to admit that in a recent review I struggled with the nuance.
I didn't know that they had used AI in internal builds of their game when I started my review, and when I found out I wanted to forgive a small indie dev -

Scorn is really interesting. Someone took a first person puzzle game with the coolest art direction they could, and mixed it with the worst survival shooter combat imaginable. Everybody is so creative!
