An attempt at remodeling Wario's appearance for my little fan game project. Wanted to keep the design simple to make animation easier. Also got inspired by Super Tempo and similar games with cartoony pixel graphics, and wanted to mimic that style and process.

When I play a game (or engage with any type of art) I'm constantly thinking about the creators choices and intent. It is literally impossible to engage in this thought process with AI bullshit.

Like, it's cultural commentary which is well within the wheelhouse of games publications. And I think it does dance around a legitimate issue (albeit poorly) which is the way games discourse has become fundamentally toxic due to reactionary YouTubers being its primary drivers now.
