5 years ago seems so much like yesterday. One of those years I can remember where I was/what I was doing on at least half the dates… was also a *fantastic* year for tomatoes…(2021 & 2022 was the rat apocalypse!)

I promised some pictures

The only two pictures I took in Shelter Cove, CA.

If the current land deal doesn’t happen, I *might* look at buying a buildable lot in Shelter Cove. It’s definitely off the beaten path, and even getting the 35’ avion down there would be a *trip*.

lol, apparently I took a selfie just before surgery…

The pink parts are healthy, the purple parts are very definitely not. In that third photo is where it shows the torsion.

But how about a picture? Not of me, silly beans…here’s the Avion heading up to the summer camp.

It’s loaded and on its way! Now I just need to get released from the hospital…

There’s nothing quite like sitting in the sun on days like this in Southern California. Poolside adds 10 more levels of awesome. Natural bodies of water are beyond next level…the sun and water in SoCal just hits different. Especially days like today.

(You’ll find me poolside today.)

So many piles of stuff…now gone

In the boxes. Into new homes. Some in the trash. It’s mostly empty, and will soon hold new people and treasures.

Riverside County, CA is looking for grand jurors.

I really wish I wasn’t in a completely swamped schedule for the next year+…grand juries are a cool civic participation project.

You’ve got until 4/30/2025 to apply.

Kongs. The one big chew-er I had loved the fluorescent green balls. He (dachshund) couldn’t/didn’t destroy them but their squishyness was just enough to keep him occupied. He also loved the Kong frisbee for fetch.

I had to wear him out with extensive walks too… Good luck!

Gopher snakes are out. Have seen adults and juveniles everyday this week in various areas around the house.

No rattlers spotted yet. Both puppers need a refresher avoidance training session. As they’ve gotten older, it’s much easier keeping them keeping their distance from the danger noodles.

Swarm near Julian. Still ongoing. The big rattle is now a 5+ (not the 6.5 originally sent via the alert).
April 14, 2025 at 5:23 PM
Um, yeah…

There’s literally 2 mattresses, 2 boxsprings, some miscellaneous crap from the garage, some miscellaneous crap from the backyard…

It all would’ve fit in a regular type dumpster that you have for normal trash pickup.

Behold the 30cubic yard beast now in front of moms house ⬇️
April 4, 2025 at 8:14 PM
Absolutely crazy amount of miscellaneous… all the drawer contents from the bathrooms and kitchen, some stray furniture that I’m still using until the pod arrives is scattered in piles over about 400sqft. 😩😩😩 (the photo is only about 3/4 of the remaining “stuff”).
April 3, 2025 at 8:11 PM
I did get the gazebo I built for her in 2023 dismantled, loaded and moved to the farm. All the raised beds too. Still have to move quite a bit of patio stuff (a big grill, dining set, 2 big deck storage boxes, the chicken stuff, 😩).

And in today’s wth find…

Also, was the NYT enhanced by AI? They state in the article that the letter was dated May 5. (I also hate it here. This is going to get so very ugly, and most in the USA are just ho-humming away, or worse, cheering this crap…)

Egads, I knew I was young when I started school… I’ve found my kindergarten report card. FROM 1973. I was 3 years and 9 months when the school year started in September of 1972. That means I was 4y9m when 1st grade started. I vaguely remember it being a big deal, but wth…

In like a lion and out like a lamb. Hoping everyone is holding up.

You’ll find me over here digging through 100 years of family history.

Btw; mom even kept the first Breyer horse that I was given (about 1971-72).

All I have to say is I haven’t seen this in *decades* and I’m finding it highly amusing that my 4yo self was obsessed with mail trucks, purple skies, friends, cabins, volleyballs, potatoes and horses.

Lol 😂 NOT A THING HAS CHANGED
March 1, 2025 at 9:43 PM
And pulling out a kindergarten “book” that was in a box with my name on it.
March 1, 2025 at 9:43 PM
And now I am here in March of 2025, and I’m finally able to get this a little more organized… getting these personal items collected since 1922 to the relatives that may want them.
March 1, 2025 at 9:43 PM
Into the garage.

Mom only made it 92 days from diagnosis.

Having the two most important people in my life leave within 21 months of each other and being their primary caretaker through the process was *hard*.

It took me well into mid 2024 to be able to peel myself off the floor.
