Things come and go, and I don't begrudge romantasy its moment in the sun, not in the least because when people come into the bookstore for that romantasy book, they sometimes leave with additional books in tow. Any book that brings people into the store is a good one for the rest of them.
Right now, you can see the Scifi section shrinking each time you go to the bookstore to make more room for fantasy because of the fairy!porn popularity and the pan to publish more romantasy. I just wish it's popularity didn't take shelves away from Scifi (which once you remove the dune shelves...)

Oh man this fits so well to the follow up I've been playing around with to my fic rehabilitation. Basically an AU Nishiki survives and he's still a a massive dick but Kiryu keeps him in check.
