The unresponsive child was brought from a Moorhead home to a Fargo hospital where life-saving measures were unsuccessful, and the coroner's office alerted police.

Judge Daniel Hovland sentenced the Republican to more than three times what the prosecution sought for traveling to Prague to sexually abuse boys. The judge called Holmberg's actions "vile."

Rep. Heather Keeler, D-Moorhead, was boycotting the legislative session to deny a quorum with the rest of her party. Rep. Jim Joy, R-Hawley, was in St. Paul with work held up by the ongoing boycott.

In Fargo leaders' latest debate over how to help the homeless, issues with turning people away from shelter because of substance use and abuse was a major point of contention.

Leaders are promising a solution in 2 weeks.
