I qualified for Medicaid.

On Memorial Day, we remember the sacrifices that our men and women in uniform and their families have made to preserve our freedom. May we always strive to honor the strength and resolve they’ve shown our country.

A lot of people don’t like to be challenged.

It makes them very uncomfortable.

But me? I need feedback and new perspectives and challenging questions.

I am curious.

Inputs from people who don’t live in my shoes make me stronger.

Tag someone who challenges your perspective so I can follow!

Whoa! New polling shows that a majority of voters in EVERY SINGLE CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT oppose cuts to Medicaid.

Members of Congress should take note.

I want to live in an America where I feel safe(ish) to express my opinions because I’m an American, NOT because I am a white person in a heterosexual relationship who could pass as a Christian nationalist if I really, really had to.

Trump tells his followers to buy stock in the morning, minutes after the market opens, then announces he is pausing tariffs 4 hours later.

Nothing to see here.

The message is: crowd large.

Many politicians, administrators, and business leaders, in bowing to Trump, have drawn confidence and comfort from the perceived vibe shift.

Events like this puncture that delusion.
You can stop asking where the mass opposition is. It's everywhere.
People poured out to protest not only what Trump has done—and what they fear he will do next.

My daughter went to a birthday party this week. Target used to be my go-to spot for birthday gifts. But not anymore.

I don’t shop at retailers who capitulate to racist idiots.

And I’m not the only one.
Target can't get its footing after its DEI program demise and a 40-day boycott against the retailer. Foot traffic at stores is down for the eighth consecutive week
For the week that began March 17, foot traffic fell 5.7% YoY for Target, according to data from Placer.ai.

The richest man in the world spent more money than most of us will see in our lifetimes to lose a state Supreme Court race by 10 points.

And the fact his $25 million was a drop in the bucket compared to what he's spent on other elections is exactly why we must overturn Citizens United.

The wages of the richest 1% have skyrocketed 182% since 1979.

Meanwhile, the wages of the bottom 90% have seen just 44% growth.

Trickle down economics was always a hoax.

Most developed countries collect 35% of their economic output in revenue.

In 2023, the United States collected just 25% of its economic output in revenue.

The problem isn't that we spend too much.

It's that we don't make billionaires and corporations pay enough taxes.

Our economy is far larger than it was decades ago.

Where have most of the gains gone? To the top.

Any path forward must include a fight to restructure the economy toward more widely shared prosperity.

This isn’t a blue state vs. red state phenomenon. It’s a class phenomenon.

I’m old enough to remember when corporations and trade organizations couldn’t stop talking about their investments in DEI…

Because we the people, led by the BLM movement, demanded they stand with us.

We have always—and will always—have to fight against corruption, hatred, and greed.
