A small shift, a big impact: rethinking lawns in a changing climate.

What you’re seeing here is more than a visual upgrade from parched yellow grass to a thriving green flower bed. It’s a climate conscious choice.

How is your community adapting its green spaces in response to climate change?

Ever wonder what Fordyce’s sermon is about? Two volumes of how women should behave: "At any rate, the majesty of the [female] sex is sure to suffer by being seen too frequently…”
And Mr. Collin’s read 77 pages before Lydia interrupted!

Ms. Austen is the OG of the enemies to lovers trope.

What’s your favourite literary trope?
I’m a sucker for enemies to lovers.

Is polyester sustainable, or greenwashing?

If the end product is going to off gas in a garbage dump for years on end -the answer is a resounding no.

Chick Lit = books for women. Like the derogatory terms “you run like a girl/hit like a girl”, it meant you “read like a girl” ➡️ you’re vapid.
Thankfully, it’s now been rebranded as Uplit- Uplifting Literature. My favourite trope is the friends lovers. What’s yours?

Misogyny, leave my books alone.

Today Netanyahu told Trump that he just nominated him for the Nobel peace prize.

I keep thinking of this Scripture:

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!” -Isaiah 5

Lord, have mercy.

Have you ever read a book years ago and then watch the horrors of the book slowly unfold in real life?

I cared about the planet years before I became a Christian. After I came to faith I was shocked by the apathy the church felt for the earth. The most practical way to care for the poor is to not trash their home.We know the world’s poorest are the most vulnerable to climate change. We can do better.

Toni Morrison's Beloved: Many readers of Morrison suggest that her works are best understood through the lens of postcolonial theology. b/c 1-the use of communal narrative re-telling of the past to re-imagine the future. 2- the dispelling of coloniality,

When reading Charlotte Bronte and Toni Morrison I see clear parallels of women writing biblical fanfiction. In a world dominated by masculine voices silencing women, these women preached and taught the gospel through their prolific fiction.

If the need for more "masculine energy" doesn't scare you, it should. Historically, when men become anxious about defining the masculine, it results in regulating and oppressing the feminine.

Patriarchy within culture and the church are both man-made constructs but one aspect of Christian patriarchy that is particularly nefarious is that the belief that gender hierarchy is taught to be ordained by God

Did you know - Milton‘s Paradise Lost had a profound influence over the Victorian readers’ understanding of Genesis & imprinted a substantial cultural impression of Eve and the character of every woman after.Eve was more connected with Satan than Adam. The cultural distrust of women still permeates.

Feminist distortion, heresy, apostate – these words are frequently used to accuse a person or organization that has an alternative reading of Genesis. In communities of faith, these insult instil fear and discourage curious and intellectual conversation and debate.

This house, the one that didn’t burn, is a beacon that shines a light on preparation. From the cement perimeter fence, fire resistant roof, and intentional landscaping, this house was ready. Did you know that Japan and Haiti have the same natural disasters? Earthquakes, floods, landslides etc 1/3
