Curious, in terms of how we think of our gender/sex, which trans folks i know are "outside-in"(there is a body/look i need to survive, gender and pronouns are more ways to recognize that) versus "inside-out"(my gender is innately part of me and I'm changing my body/look to signal that better)

Feels like trans language forwarded by cis people("gender affirming care", "gender reassignment surgery", "identify as", etc) is less about respecting the full gender spectrum and more about keeping cis people from feeling uncomfortable about having to think about how gender/sex are variable
