In response to Trump’s 25% tariffs on Canadian goods, Canada announced 25% retaliatory tariffs on American goods — beer, wine, bourbon, fruits, vegetables, clothes, perfume, household appliances, plastic, lumber, etc.

I bet Americans will soon learn a very painful lesson about how tariffs work, eh?

USAID.gov is down. Why is this concerning? Trump has no legal authority to eliminate a congressionally funded independent agency. The work of USAID is vital, and if this can happen to them, it can happen to any of us.

Mexico is Texas' largest trading partner.

Trump's 25% tariffs aren't just going to raise prices - they're going to put Texans out of business.

Many Texas truck operators, warehousing companies, car dealers, and more won't survive this tax hike.

An important read about the dire state of libraries and librarians in some parts of the country. Freedom to read and access to the expertise of a librarian is a right of all our students. #TLSky #skybrarians #libraries

Authors should have 3 letters ready to go right now:

1. A letter of support to send to teachers and librarians who are fighting for our books
2. A letter to the school/library board condemning book bans/promoting freedom to read
3. A letter to the editor promoting the freedom to read
