He also failed to preserve the Signal messages as required by law. Messages auto-deleted. Record-retention obligations were not met. IG states the transmission created avoidable operational risk by exposing strike-timing and aircraft-movement data over an unapproved channel to uncleared recipients.

Using a personal phone and Signal for official business violated DoDI 8170.01. Nonpublic DoD information cannot be sent over non-DoD systems, regardless of classification status.

Because honestly?

Giving it our all to save farmers is the best way to make private equity buy farmland even faster.

Bc "saving farmers" just means putting $$ into the hands of whoever owns farmland.

In other words, it makes owning farmland even MORE appealing to institutional investors.

Convincing the public that

"We have to keep bailing out farms, or else hedge funds will gobble them all up"

is the best joint PR operation the farm lobby and private ever pulled.
