Hamas considers the conflict to have begun in the 1920s, when the Muslim Brotherhood formed for the purpose of stopping the indigenous Jews from ever getting back any of their cultural heritage land, because the conquest of it by Arab Muslims was a holy war, so allowing Jews a state is blasphemy.
