Fascinated by how things work, how people think and what small improvements could bring disproportionate benefits. Aviation data specialist, particularly helicopters
Including a British one designed by a famous footballer’s wife…

The BBC Chairman was interviewed about the situation by their OWN media correspondent, which is staggeringly poor judgement. If you have nothing to hide, be interviewed by someone independent

Another angle. UK Gov owns both the BBC and “commercial “ station Channel 4

And then the BBC puts foot in mouth by issuing an interview of Chairman Samir Shah by its own Media correspondent

Have they learned nothing about impartiality and objectivity?

Am I being overly sceptical wondering what WASN’T said in that interview? Anything “edited out” or “accidentally ignored”?

Love this!

If there are surplus ATCs in the military (who could be transferred to FAA), why were they employed?

Did the Sec of War use a Signal group for the interaction with Duffy?

How long does retraining take?

What safety issues exist with reduced ATC cover?

How likely is Duffy trustworthy?

There also needs to be training in budgeting, starting in schools.

This should include an assessment of what is a necessity and what is a luxury

For example, if parents are skipping meals and still have a subscription to any of Sky, Disney etc , then they have their priorities wrong

Just for comparison, the same volume in the UK (including adjusting fir different definitions of “gallon”) is over $5.00

He grew up in the aftermath of his mother dying in tragic circumstances

He chose to abandon his country and marry an actress, who may or may not be a fantasist

He’s old enough to make his own decisions, most of which involve wealth creation - perhaps including this stunt

You reap what you sow

No. People choose to have a third child in the full knowledge of the two-child cap. People choosing to have a third child without the funds to support that choice are not showing responsibility

People choose to have children, so they would choose to have the third child in the knowledge the cap is two

This reg has not been an S92 helicopter since May 2021

Since December 2023 it has been on a Challenger corporate jet

But hasn’t there been a privately “owned” database of people built and maintained in Utah for decades? What controls exist on data distribution here?

Chanced upon your post. Any relation to the past High Master of St Paul’s School, James W Heale? (ie my era there!)

Shame the R class is looking sad

That’s flying rather low. Should it be “Aircraft beneath Heerlen”?

How ridiculous! The registration database behind this ADSB feed thinks that a 787 is a hot air balloon.

There’s a PR problem, though.

If you ask people in the UK to name as many LibDem MPs as they can, they can name you and then they get stuck.

At this doomed and altitude this is clearly NOT the helicopter you say it is……

Nice! And a Vickers Viscount which was built in my back garden! I live on the site of the factory at Brooklands

Ah! I produced a 6502 simulator for my final year project of my final year of Computer Science (year of ‘85). Did it so quickly that I got it extended to a double unit project to take a data file of instructions for any of 6502, 6800 or Z80. Even got as far as considering 68000 and Z8000

So much for “free speech” and “freedom of the press”.
