I’m still getting over the burning of the Library of Alexandria
This breaks my heart.

The lost funding had come from an independent federal agency targeted for elimination by President Donald Trump.

Please share!!! This is getting ridiculous—they just can’t accept a loss. Please help spread the word to North Carolina. The North Carolina Court of Appeals ruled in a 2-1 decision that over 60,000 votes cast in last year’s closely contested state Supreme Court race must be verified and recounted.

Only 25% ?
Maine could see a 25% drop in Canadian tourists this year because of economic insecurity, the prospect of higher prices driven by new tariffs and lingering animosity over President Donald Trump’s talk of annexing their country.
Trump policies expected to cause 25% drop in Canadian tourism to Maine
Maine's top tourism official told lawmakers her office is aggressively working to bring in more U.S. tourists to make up for the loss of international travelers, but so are officials in other states.

My guess is, DOGE, et al would look at this and see the potential for an 87% reduction in government spending . . .
So many important details in here...one to save for reference!

A quick google/wikipedia search will tell you whether your Rep changed their name somewhere along the line (e.g. married + took spouse’s name) … and if so, you might remind them that a “Yes” vote on HR 22 could result in disenfranchising *themselves*.
Everyone should listen to the recent episode of Amicus (podcast by @dahlialithwick.bsky.social ). They are coming after our elections in ruinous ways. I also re-up here my Substack on voter fraud investigations and what they found. Spoiler: it's almost nonexistent. open.substack.com/pub/rebeccas...

“He is his own ponzi scheme.“
This needs to be said more and loudly.
X is not worth 33 billion. He basically just paid himself $33B from another company, presumably to pay off his debts from the initial buy because he knows he'll never be able to raise the capital from X itself.

He is his own ponzi scheme.

FOX NEWS = STATE TELEVISION
I turned on Fox “news” while I was out on an errand & I’m telling you - they just outright lie. And they all do the same exact thing Trump does - bully, name call, deflect, blame Dems, rinse repeat.

They are state TV. They are complicit in all of this destruction.

Short sided AF!

We can shut borders, cut ties, and look away—but viruses don’t care. The next pandemic is just a 12-hour flight away and we have an HHS secretary, who doesn’t believe in vaccines.

This decision will hurt us at home…

Not in my name. Never in my name.
I haven't ever really spoken about this to anyone, but when I was litigating the so-called "comfort women" case, I went to the National Archives to obtain and read the testimonies of women and girls who were held in sex slave camps by the Japanese military following their release.

Trump REALLY just said this: "He was a smart guy. You know Tesla. First the light bulb and now this. Seems like a modern-day Isaac Neutron." 🤦

I think ISAAC NEUTRON would be a stellar character name — Red Shirts (hats?) sequel, perhaps?

Lernen macht Frei?
As others have pointed out (and as I clocked myself) it’s extremely disconcerting to see Nazis write about a “final” anything.
NEW—Dept of Ed staff received an email from Sec. McMahon tonight with the subject, “Our Department’s Final Mission.”

McMahon writes that plan is, “to send education back to the states.” Notably doesn’t mention executive order like earlier draft, but some think it’s still coming.
