Part of the problem is the conflation between generative AI (completely bollocks “spicy autocomplete” that’s killing the planet) and machine learning (the scientific uses to expose patterns in enormous data sets which can then be explored by humans)

Nothing racist about it. It wasn’t even a joke about her working in McDonalds, the joke was her thinking that doing so changed her social class. The statement that was actually bigoted was her original remark which essentially shows she thinks only working class people can work in McDonalds.

Tip jars are great, but i doubt artists will be able to live on tips. Spotify and friends have destroyed the market for CD sales by small artists without providing any alternate revenue stream and while still exploiting their work. This can’t continue and the world will be a worse place a a result.

“all Melbourne tickets are transferable to Sydney”. So Sydney has capacity to take everyone booked for Melbourne? Though with an 18 hour round trip by car I can’t see many people taking up that offer.

…and remember that all the testing and demos will be done at corporate HQ with good fast networking, not at the far end of platform 3 on a dark rainy night using a old phone with a dying battery.

There is the additional issue of w3w using a proprietary algorithm controlled by a single private company that has made a significant loss for many years. While largely free to use now, imagine what might happen if lots of organisations came to depend on it…
