Part of the problem is the conflation between generative AI (completely bollocks “spicy autocomplete” that’s killing the planet) and machine learning (the scientific uses to expose patterns in enormous data sets which can then be explored by humans)

This!
I can’t believe that tonight will be the last ever edition of the Tour de France highlights on @itvx.com. Another crown jewel of global sport lost to terrestrial TV. Thank you Gary Imlach and team for a wonderful show. Summers will not be the same again

Fixed your headline for you "Government votes through Children’s Wellbeing Bill despite Tory demand for new National Grooming gang inquiry which would have killed the legislation, had it been successful." You're welcome!

#Bylines are an important community reporting resource.
The changes to agricultural land inheritance tax have been poorly explained by HMRC, and the confusion has been exacerbated by abysmal reporting, even by the BBC.

Geoff Thompson digs a little deeper ...
Whose land? Tax avoidance and the broken economics of British farming
Noise in the billionaire press about inheritance tax changes hides a basic fact: the non-farming rich own too much land

Nothing racist about it. It wasn’t even a joke about her working in McDonalds, the joke was her thinking that doing so changed her social class. The statement that was actually bigoted was her original remark which essentially shows she thinks only working class people can work in McDonalds.

It’s December 1st and we should all pay homage to Rosa Parks today. On this day in 1955 she decided not to give her seat up on a bus in Alabama, and well the rest is history. We are all going to need to channel our Rosa Park’s for the next four years! Thank you Rosa for showing us how to #Resist

In 1890, the X and Y chromosomes were discovered. It was found that the men who were tested had 46 chromosomes, including an X and a Y, while women who were tested also had 46 chromosomes, including 2 X chromosomes.
So obviously the conclusion was that the Y chromosome defined masculinity.

It did occur to me that the sort of small “Rise at Dawn, work all day” farmer that the media would like to cast as victims here rarely have knighthoods…
Now maybe this is a different John Kemp-Welch… but in that case it’s a big coincidence that another 88 year old John Kemp-Welch managed to be chair of the London Stock Exchange from 1994 to 2000

I saw a passing reference to this the other day in which someone mentioned having “two presidents”. I assumes they meant Musk and Trump.
💥 NEWS! 💥

Delighted to announce that we have TWO new Presidents at European Movement UK:

Caroline Lucas and Dominic Grieve

Our former President, Michael Heseltine stepped down at the AGM this weekend.

Onwards and definitely upwards!

The ‘record numbers’ the headline refers to is 2133 in a year.

In a World where being LGBT is a criminal offence in 64 countries, carrying the death penalty in at least 12. Strangely the journalist doesn’t see fit to mention that…
