learning to draw. i love color pencils, ink, wax pastels and oil pastels especially but i dabble in most traditional media.

CC and feedback ALWAYS appreciated!
I especially love the mercreature, how the sharp lines slowly fade into shadows, gorgeous

< These are the results on general purpose paper from Clairefountaine. The results are similar to the thinner marker-paper from Canson.

I used a dip pen instead of fountain pen.

I tested Carbon Ink, Write & Draw and Noodler's in fountain pens.

Well, here are the tests with general purpose paper and layout marker paper. I don't use markers, so I don't know if the quality of the marker paper is adequate.
Tested: Copic Ciao C-1 (alcohol-based), Ecoline BrushPen #580 and Winsor & Newton Water Color Marker (both water-soluble).

I love small Independent physical bookstores very much, but i am disabled and dont have the energy to try a few to see if they have the books i want, so i end up ordering way more often than i would like

I buy my books only from Europe, cause the import taxes are so high otherwise. Brexit significantly decreased the amount of books i buy , cause there is a lot less English language material available without import taxes.

I do like to buy all the non fiction books from authors i am friends with or acquainted with (i am an academic) to support them, as long as the prices are reasonable.

I dont really buy books based on reviews in newspapers or book influencers, cause serious book people tend to like a lot heavier darker books than i tend to enjoy, and i dont trust influencers to be impartial

I mostly buy books based on recommendations from friends or people on the internet who happen to describe it in a way that catches my interests (for example someone yesterday talked about "bureaucracy hopepunk" and that was so creative i now want to buy the book

I totally get that! You could consider making a collage. Cutting put the parts you like and framing them together in one passe partout framing ?
