Did I have a lightbulb moment while I was editing my MS today? Yes. Am I excited by it? Yes. Will it require me to tear some things apart and stitch them back together? Yes. Am I doing it because the story needs it, or because I'm scared to call it finished and start querying? I honestly don't know.

Day three of trying to cut down my chunky word baby. For those keeping track, I'm down to 105,982 from 109,000. Mostly accomplished by rewriting sections to make them flow better. If any #kidlitagents want to chime in with their word count preferences for YA dystopian, I'd love to hear from you!
