The Republican-Democrat count is 217-215 when Elise Stefanik leaves. It's very slim. If we get a tie 217-217, we stop Trump because, unlike the Senate, there is no tie-breaker.

Thanks to everyone who voted for Trump who is proposing to abolish the DOE and put kids at risk in schools. Maddie’s 504 plan gives her accommodations to protect her from food allergens and gives her access to an FM system/front-of-class placement for her chemo-induced hearing loss.

When I was a Hill staffer in 2009, a Dem trifecta was trying to pass universal healthcare. In response, Senate GOP released a memo detailing all of the tactics they in the minority could use to delay the effort as much as possible. I'm recirculating that 2009 GOP memo here. Take inspiration from it.

It's not that rhetoric isn't useful. It's that not only is there an absence of a plan to combat what we're seeing, but on top of that, the rhetoric from many Democratic lawmakers feels detached. The messaging is ludicrously subdued. Unhelpfully formal. There is a massive failure in reading the room.
