"Google has criticized the European Union’s intentions to achieve digital sovereignty through open-source software."

Umm...ok...I think I can see why they did that, but lets read further...

Postie just arrived bringing all my Valentine's Day cards, or so I thought. Turned out to be a water bill.

Prices going up 9.8% "to pay for infrastructure", despite the fact they've paid out almost £80 billion in dividends since privatisation. And we've got off lightly compared to a lot of the […]

In incredible news, the European Parliament has voted overwhelmingly for "The Full Recognition Of Trans Women As Women."

Even the center-right European People's Party voted for the declaration.

It will form a foundation for their position at the UN Commission on the Status of Women.

Our latest.
European Parliament Votes Overwhelmingly For "The Full Recognition Of Trans Women As Women"
The resolution, though nonbinding, is a significant shot at those who seek to erode transgender rights on the continent.

Ontario gives a little more money to universities and finally lifts the tuition freeze (at below inflation rates), yay, universities can survive a little longer.

Ontario changes OSAP so that it is now mostly loans and less grants, oh no, a lot of people now won't be able to afford to go.

It's #hackster round-up time! First up is another *fantastic* project from @ancientjames: an "digital iris" for interchangeable-lens cameras which lets you control - and even animate - the bokeh using an LCD.

Confused? Imagine seeing out-of-focus highlights as spinning cogs... or a playable […]
