Thinking of the Minneapolis school shooting victims today. What makes this even harder to take is knowing that we do not have to live this way. It's a policy choice. As long as politicians in DC & Columbus prioritize the gun lobby over people – these horrific events will continue.

@climatecabinet.org endorses candidates with an “outsized climate impact.” In Cleveland, we’re creating pathways into good jobs in green industries; cleaning up the air by planting trees & expanding green space; and promoting transportation alternatives. I appreciate the support!

Nearly half of Cleveland residents get health care through Medicaid. SNAP helps 1/3 put food on the table. Today’s budget harms the many & gives handouts to the wealthy few. I won’t be deterred. I’ll keep fighting for affordable housing, safe neighborhoods, & healthy communities.

Freedom isn't something Black Americans take for granted. This Juneteenth, it’s clear the greedy & powerful few still want to take away our freedoms for their own gain. Part of the way we fight back is by celebrating each other & building stronger communities.
