We’re announcing a 30-day pause on all Cleveland utility disconnections. With the govt. shut down and SNAP benefits delayed, we want families to have some breathing room. This pause is about stability, compassion, and making sure no one loses essential services.
We're announcing a 30-day moratorium on utility disconnections.

The federal shutdown and cuts to SNAP benefits have placed an unfair and unexpected burden on households. No one should have to choose between keeping the lights on and putting food on the table.

Before I took office, outdated systems got in the way of our ability to serve residents. I felt – and still feel – a lot of urgency about modernizing city government. Because with effective and efficient systems, we can do more for people and do it better. www.axios.com/local/clevel...

Grateful for Gov. DeWine's partnership. Building safer communities requires collaboration and creativity. That means both working with grassroots groups to reach at-risk youth AND partnering with state law enforcement to get illegal weapons off the street.
