when things seem bad, picture a better alternative, work on creating it and most of all, persevere against all odds
The only affordable way that poor/lower-middle class Americans get to see the rest of the world is from behind a screen… and we’re somehow surprised that everyone is so hopelessly addicted?

I don’t want any AI slop-bot commissioned to do any service that a real, skilled human could do better, they are cheap, and so icky

To be 100% honest, this is a new Gilded Age. Modern proletariat have been hung out to dry while the rich have a grand old time making robots and rockets.

Crypto investors are the absolute worst. When in my poor-ass life have I ever had a spare couple grand lying around to gamble on”Doge” or whatever? Never. Go to hell.

Investments are a luxury that primarily the rich benefit from. The stock market could explode for all I care. Maybe then some of the money would be freed up to help the rest of us eat.

Maybe the polls will change when Americans can actually afford groceries again.

We are living in a country that has betrayed us. Middle and working class people have been abandoned and maligned, and it’s exhausting.

The culture we live in is begging for system-wide shifting of priorities. More opportunity, less inertia.

For younger adults than myself, and most of gen Z, I cannot think of a single national-election in recent memory I’d describe as “inspiring”. “Terrifying” or “sad” maybe but not inspiring.

I know I'm showing my whole age here but remember that thrill of getting a mixtape from someone? A mix of music that they made just for you?

I hesitate to recommend higher education at all. Chances are college will mess up your life and make it much worse, especially if you grew up low-income, or with no safety net. In the end it could be a valuable investment but please please make the decision very carefully and make a plan.

Day-to-day life in America is basically a game of Monopoly but someone already purchased hotels on all the properties like 100 - 150 years ago

Thanksgiving is a marvelous time to go hard talking about politics. Yeees. Make it awkward for the whole family, I approve!

Are you absurdly rich and powerful? Are you frustrated by moderators? Got a spare several billion lying around? Buy a social media platform. It’s all the rage.

Future generations are doomed to inherit the consequences of today’s willful, reckless denial of climate science

Simply put, AI data farms do not substantially improve the lives of people who need it. All they do is concentrate wealth further, sequester resources, and set us up for a devastating crash when the bubble finally pops.

There is too much of a high premium for being inappropriately confident; for bravado based in ignorance. Give me leaders who are cautious, sensitive to those around them, and well-informed.

They want us to believe that our struggle is our fault, that we haven’t picked up enough extra shifts or been diligent or buckled down sufficiently. They are wrong.

Oppressors benefit from a state in which most people live in fear and are forced to constantly scramble due to perceived scarcity. It’s exactly how they want us to feel.

Too much of tech innovation has been thinly-disguised money sinks (NFTs), mechanisms that aid gamblers to lose it all (crypto), and shortcuts so people don’t have to think critically and do their own work (AI)

Millennials have been stomped all over for decades. We are all trapped in a recession-survivor scarcity mentality, crippled by world events, hopelessly locked out of the housing market, traumatized death spiral. No cap.

Day-to-day life in the US is basically the first half of the film “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” except Charlie never gets a golden ticket and lives the rest of his life doing laundry in the slums
