What do people do with BISH
A lot of you visit BISH every day, which is nice, but what do you think about it and how do you use it?
www.bishuk.com
Thousands of young people read Bish every day, but what do they like about it, what do they do with it and how does it help? 1. Vibe 2. Depth and breadth of content. 3. Inclusive (feminist, LGBTQIA and straight cis lads too) 4. Helpful tools to take away. Lots more 👇🏻

The reaction to the Panorama edit has been nothing short of hysterical. Yes the BBC has some impartiality problems. But its biggest isn't the one you think.

There’s no way out of this that doesn’t include these people admitting they were wrong and that in their strident refusal to accept they were wrong, they have fucked it into orbit around Neptune. There is no other way.

If you’re discussing the rise of a global fascist movement that is now strongly exerting itself domestically and you’re *still* wittering about the speech tyranny of the kids and the baleful influence of Stonewall, then that’s pretty wacky, folks! It looks unserious and self-indulgent at very best!

People are often surprised to learn that no matter our age, when seeking advice we're most likely to turn to family and friends first. Unless we're estranged, neglected, ashamed, or threatened into silence. To keep others safe support (including AI) shouldn't force secrecy, exclusivity, or mistrust
Dr Ougrin says the transcripts appear to show ChatGPT encouraging an exclusive relationship that marginalises family and other forms of support, which are vital in protecting young people from self-harm and suicidal ideation. www-bbc-co-uk.cdn.ampproject.org/c/s/www.bbc....

ChatGPT wrote a woman a suicide note and another AI chatbot role-played sexual acts with children, BBC finds.

So the Telegraph’s “BBC bias dossier” - supposedly written by ex-BBC adviser Michael Prescott - is being used to claim there’s a rogue LGBT+ unit “censoring” gender-critical voices inside the BBC.
Let’s look at what’s actually in it. Spoiler: it’s nothing but recycled transphobic talking points!

For reference - Here’s the Telegraph article with the Prescott memo complaining about the BBC published in FULL.
Obviously, it’s an archived link which circumvents their paywall - as there’s no way I’m gonna give that transphobic rag any clicks or coin! 😣

The U.K. government has been talking about disinformation education for years but I have yet to see it meaningfully happen. And I mean we need to begin with staff who are wildly swept away by ai hype and EEF and research Ed propaganda. Let alone the news or online sources.

'AI things' are bad for young people and their mental health discourse 💯. However that discourse also produces 'yp are in constant crisis', 'yp have no resources', 'all online things are bad for yp'. Like 'hello'. If you're not interested in resourcing yp at least point them in the right direction

I do also like how the SNP were a smooth sphere of sealed omerta and media hostility, right up until their former leader got arrested for grabbing women’s arses, at which point their older politicians all went completely insane and started writhing and squealing at journos about women with penises.

It's impressive that these people can be this deliberately stupid and carve out a living. Wes Streeting is an incredibly easy character to understand! He's a piece of shit who believes in his own political mythology and believes that mythology entitles him to be Prime Minister.
It's not complicated though, is it? He's a bloodless institutional climber who hitched his wagon firmly to the Labour Right Blairism Redux project under Starmer, acting as one of its most proud and outspoken enforcers. Now, Starmer's a dead PM walking, he's knows he's fucked too, so he's pivoting.

Hard to believe it was only a decade ago that groomed and exploited children received cautions and charges for prostitution and, in spite of being victims, were punished accordingly.
They will now be pardoned but this shameful legacy and all its consequences remains.

And note that he never rejected what some sneeringly refer to as "idpol". Never came close to throwing minorities under the bus. On the contrary. The affordability agenda came hand in hand with him actively standing up for those principles. He could never have mobilised his base like this otherwise.
Zohran's campaign was his determination to make New York a city everyone can afford to live in. Huge congratulations!
His success will resonate throughout the world. A story where no one is left behind.
It's time to write that story across England & Wales too.
