Working in and around government my whole life: #EndGunViolence advocate, CJ researcher, public policy specialist. I carry Connecticut in my heart. Warren Democrat. 2 cents! 🏳️‍🌈
My table earlier tonight. Headed to bed now, but I love nights when the good things in life have me feeling inspired.

Idk why this is speaking to me so much right now, but it is.

Josh Elliott is doing the damn thing here in Connecticut. Might have to get behind him & send in a donation to help him qualify for the Citizens' Election Program. A candidate fighting for progressive taxation and public investment earning public funding to run—that’s the spirit of democratic access

Some fabulous moments at this year’s historic Emmy Awards. Congratulations to Hannah Einbinder—that’s our girl!—Stephen Colbert, and the other winners who lent their voices to something larger in this frightening historical moment.

It was so fun knocking with so many fast friends for Alder Angel Hubbard this week. Congratulations to her and her amazing team on their primary victory—it was all good organizing! Thanks to that hard work, the Hill has a Democrat on the ticket in November. I love how campaigns bring people together

Shout out to the 46th President—full of youth, ambition, and resilience after rebuilding his family. In 1987, he called for a new generation to lead. Decades later, he was the old guard—our last bastion against rising fascism. We must follow his example & remake ourselves into the leaders we deserve

A beautiful evening yesterday in New Haven.

Great showing of queers and allies today to protest CT Children’s & Yale New Haven Health for discontinuing their gender‑affirming care practices for trans youth. This care saves lives and prevents suicides. Restore these services now. Say it clear, say it loud: trans kids make us proud!

Solidarity forever. Huge turnout in New Haven for a #FullyFundedCity. Yale sits on a $41B endowment & pays no taxes on massive city real estate while school programs are cut & teachers fired—a $16M deficit is a drop in their bucket. Now they’ve cut gender‑affirming care for trans youth.

We live in a beautiful place! A Marcel Breuer brutalist marvel, saved and transformed into America’s first net-zero hotel. Outside fly the flags of my people, my state, and my country. 📍New Haven, CT

So proud of my cousin for participating in a practice picket, showing Teamsters Local 671 bus drivers in Cromwell & Middletown are willing to strike for fair wages and good working conditions. ✊🚌

Note: people are obsessed and addicted to boyhood sexuality and burgeoning manhood. They always have been. The Beatles. The Backstreet Boys. One Direction. BTS. A story as old as time, reinvented with new idols for the exact moment of each era. But the same thing is always at its center: boyhood.

Given the election of Pope Leo XIV in the brilliance of the Sistine Chapel, it’s worth noting that a church that condemns queerness to this day has, for half a millennium, preserved the work of a queer genius as its greatest iconography.

This story from The Least Among Us by Rep. @delauro.house.gov is literally a plot point out of The Office—with a uniquely American spin of sexism and racial sensitivity!
