Music makes the seconds pass. Writing makes the minutes pass. Politics makes the days pass. My vision makes the years pass. And there’s no one I’d rather pass them with than you.

Oh, the national debt surpassed $38 trillion. How is this the government of the richest country on earth—the one giving tax breaks to billionaires?

Love isn’t something you have for a lifetime with someone. It’s a feeling you have in a moment with someone—and then over and over and over again.

A working-class Bronx girl with Puerto Rican roots and serious progressive policy chops, plus a former astronaut and Navy vet who flipped Arizona and would bring First or Second Lady Gabrielle Giffords to the national stage? How could you answer this moment of extreme violence better than that?
I think my ticket for 2028 is AOC and Mark Kelly in any order.

Love, like a flower, at first is fresh and dewy, but once picked, always wilts into hate.

We are never going to live to see humankind’s trip to Mars, but we will live to see every landfill in our country overflowing. Soon. American policymakers: get your priorities straight.

Yes a new world's coming
The one we've had visions of
Coming in peace, coming in joy
Coming in love

The everlasting post. The only-in-America experience visits Brown University. Where next? Whose school or house of worship? Unless we act. So sickeningly long overdue.
When will we admit to ourselves: this will keep happening until the guns are gone.

Roughly six in ten U.S. gun deaths are suicides (27,300 in 2023—58%). 26M Americans age 12+ experience a major depressive episode each year. Suicide in America is a gun-violence crisis as much as it is a mental health or healthcare crisis. That’s our best intervention point: means safety.

Context for this is I was talking to a femme queer friend about how men treat her, and she said they’re always so kind, attentive, interested — “whatever, whatever” — so she’s able to have lots of sex if she wants. It reminded me of Elaine yada-yada’ing sex on Seinfeld.
Did you just “whatever, whatever” being hot?

There are a lot of queer people on the planet, and there are more every day, which is something people need to start realizing and understanding.
