Luckily for all in the area, it's just a 2-day work week for me [read: only in public for 2 days]: vacation day Monday (Lundi Gras), office closed Tuesday (Mardi Gras), and tomorrow is my Friday off - so most have been & should be safe 🤪

I've lived away from my hometown for over 1/2 my life. I went back for the funeral of a beloved uncle. Also saw some other aunts, uncles, & cousins I hadn't seen in years. The homesickness is hitting so hard. I didn't like living there growing up; why do I want to go back now.

~ 11am I settled down w/a good book. Monken settled next to me & Freyja on top of me.
~ 5pm, the book is finished & another started, but the Girlies comfort is of utmost importance 😻😺
