"Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect"

Those claiming Dems should retreat on racial justice aren't hard-headed realists, they're pushing against the electoral tide rather than leaning into it. The story of Gen Z isn't about racist backlash or red-pilled young men. It's the most racially progressive generation in American history. 🧵

Side note. Jim Comey says that DOJ accessed material seized from Dan Richman that was not scoped for the prior investigation, 2 different 4A violations. As part of his 2nd bid to get the grand jury transcript, he said if Bondi relied on 4A violations to ratify THE FIRST TIME, it's 4A violation.

The govt and Hannah Dugan (judge arrested in Milwaukee for disrupting an immigration arrest in what seems an aeon ago) have exchanged their limine motions. DOJ's are competently dickish in a way we used to see.

DOJ is going to arg by deferring hearing Dugan violated victim's rights.

Both parties should support this. Using AI to generate a video of a candidate saying something he didn’t say should be illegal. Especially since many voters think it is real. I will condemn any candidate from either party who does this.

Awful: Trump's boat bombings are now being justified by a new legal memo that relies on WH's own determinations as evidence. Memo also says people can't be prosecuted for the killings. But that reveals WH knows there's legal vulnerability here, Ds tell me.

This, from @pbump.com, is a superb description of what pollsters are showing: Trump's support is growing soft, starting w/Epstein.

But the other thing Epstein does--is perfectly designed to do (bc his trolls have ALWAYS been pedo-conspiracy adjacent) is they make it REALLY hard to command attention
Donald Trump’s presidency hinges on loyalty, which depends on the perception of power. As a lame duck, that perception is already eroding — and the Epstein scandal is now accelerating it.
Opinion | The Epstein divisions among Republicans are hastening Trump's lame-duck status
These polls suggest the issue is a bigger problem than the president wants to admit.

"For context, about 67,000 people signed up with the group in Trump’s first term ― over the entirety of those four years."

Unless Fox News is willing to break down the Epstein emails, their audience will never see any reason to believe that Trump was anything except friendly with Epstein.

Much like the Russia investigation, they won’t accept it.
