The Agriculture Department has axed two programs that gave schools and food banks money to buy food from nearby farms and ranchers. Roughly $660 million that schools and child care facilities were counting on to purchase food has been canceled.

I’ve had a family member in the hospital and haven’t been on much the last week. Things have been changing so rapidly, I feel so out of touch with current events. Just about any other time, that would probably bring me comfort. In 2025, not so much.
