China's economy has grown by ~5% in the last year, so this comprehensively debunks the idea (again) that emissions are tied to growth. So yes, faster progress needed, but this is how you turn the corner.

I told the Jehovah's Wittnesses at my door yesterday to better connect w gods will by becoming revolutionary abolitionists and redistributing Elons wealth using the very Bible quotes they gave me. 😅
The existence of a trillionaire I think should predicate a complete global alliance to deburden that individual of such excesses.

A nuance that strikes me as generally squashed is that zionism like Judaism itself, is a rabbinical tradition with its own political factions. The right dominating the narrative has the impact of making people like Magid, who I would kind of consider to be a liberal zionist, b seen as anti-zionist.

Revealed preference via prediction markets is a real thing but it entirely depends on level of knowledge of the betters relative to the problem lol. Lots of ppl are willing to lose money to protect their own delusions or aggressively don't know what they don't know. Say nothing of gambling addiction

I definitely used less wrong style rationality to repress or compartmentalise emotions that didn't make sense. emotions can be an instrument of rationality but they have a very different integration path than logic.

For someone who, knowing well the limits and problems, still thinks some of what LLMs do already is sci-fi tech, I actually don't use them that much. Mostly I prefer my own writing style/ thought process. I use them for weird in-between questions, initial research, summaries and parsing complexity.
