Somehow a teacher and I'm told.... a museum piece. Sometimes writes things. Perpetually shifting into soup mode.
Teaching student's that their voice matters is so important. I tell my students constantly that I'm not interested in what AI has to say but I'm extremely invested in what *they* have to say. They're always confused at first because they're not used to people wanting to hear their voice.

You're doing a good job as well, your stories matter a lot!

My mom makes the best chocolate cake which has been passed on from her grandmother. This cake has become a family legend, something that's requested for every bday. I even learned how to do it. Turns out my great-grandmother just followed a recipe from Better Homes and Gardens in the 50's...

Actually currently reading it now, about half-way through. I'm having a blast! It's funny, dark, heartbreaking but also loving.

Same here. There are R-sounds that we don't have in Icelandic and by the same token the accented Á in my name along with a harder sounding R (and trilling) in Árnason makes it hard for people who don't speak Icelandic to pronounce my last name.

They even talk about a pollen podcast created by AI. Listen, a pollen podcast written and produced by a human who cares about pollen sounds great! But that's the point, the passion that people bring to their work.

Absolutely. I even have trouble DNF a book I'm not enjoying because my undergrad drilled into me that I had to read for nuance and academic understanding rather than enjoyment and if I DNF a book I'm not going to get the nuance. Absolutely wild.

Good job Elsie! But reading this gave me palpitations. Ooof, must've been stressful for you and Rob.

I'm partial to Todd Lockwood, but maybe that's just teenage D&D nostalgia playing with me. His dragon art for the 3.5 D&D Monster Manual was so cool!

People are always looking for the Yellow Brick Road to writing success.

The secret remains intentional reading and intentional writing.

The configuration of those two depends on individual factors.

There is no formula.

Super interesting race. Though I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole. Netflix had a great documentary on it a few years back "The Race that Eats its Young"
