Wissenschaft in ihr Ministerium zu verspielen, indem sie öffentliche Diffamierung einer Wissenschafterin verharmlost & dabei auch noch der Angegriffenen Schuld zuschiebt. Schutz der Wissenschaft wäre ihr Auftrag & sie tut das Gegenteil.🤯

I helped build a government AI system. DOGE fired me, rolled the AI out to the whole agency, and implied the AI can do my job and the jobs of the others they've fired.

I was just told that I have to remove “climate” from the title of an ongoing grant if I want to keep it. And publications from that grant cannot include “climate” and other forbidden words. I can’t believe I’m writing this from the United States of America. #AcademicSky

I'm also hearing a lot of rumblings about random new programs being installed on federal devices across various agencies.

Unclear what all of them are doing and which ones are legitimate/have been vetted.
Some federal employees say they found a program downloaded to their govt computers that could be used to sift through team chats to search for key words. Treasury computers reportedly included. Some think Elon Musk's team is looking for signs of progressive thinking or disloyalty to Trump.

This is looking like an anti-immigration motivated attack. (The early reports of police saying that the gunman had no ideological motive seemed questionable, given the choice of target.)
