It does rather make this ordinary person… one of the ‘little’ people… wonder if we matter, when all the power lies lies with the ‘markets’ and big business. Politicians say what they do benefits the economy, and by extension, us… but where do all the profits go?

Yes… but it’s rather more difficult to speak about a head of state in such candid terms when limited to using diplomatic language… and the risk of actual repercussions…
