Also, objectively, not a good thing. For me, it means I can be very ill/broken (literally) before I register there is something wrong. It means I ‘present as well’ and have been disbelieved until bloods/imaging have medics paying attention.

So much nicer than lots of memorial jewellery!

That’s beautiful.

I used to run our quiet room during the Christmas Fayre at school. I loved it. Also because I needed the quiet.

Ooh it’s fab. It’s like felt stuff with adhesive and you cut it up and stick it on your skin. I was worried as my skin can be a bit fragile/weird, but no issues.

I had a beautiful pair of of oxblood ones which I never broke in. I am better in boots, but I still cover my Achilles in moleskin!

My favourite way of revising phonics with late teens (far too cool for ‘traditional’ methods) was ‘beat the teacher.’ They’d look up hardest words in a dictionary and challenge me to spell - lots is sounding out. Loved my mistakes. That and Inuit languages as a way ‘in.’ I miss my classroom.

Nope! Bloomin’ freezing in my house. It’s notorious (relatives remember to bring fleeces). I think insulation/build makes an enormous difference. My son’s in a relatively new build flat. Cosy as. Has never put heating on. Ours is 1904 and faces North-South. The north bit is brrrrrrrrrr.

…and fairness, rather than a need for certainty in a messy world made for NT folk. Yet, it’s often characterised as being rigidity of thought. Thank you.

I’m not autistic, though not NT (dyspraxia, plus, probably). Surrounded by autistic folk (family/work). I hear you re: routine/rigidity as a reaction to an uncertain world. I wonder what your thoughts are around ‘fixed’ ideas of right/wrong? That feels like a deeply held concept of justice…
